Your Best Solution to Organic Skincare for Aging Skin: Argan Oil

February 18, 2022 by Fresh Face Guide

woman looking in mirrorArgan oil comes from the pressed nut of the argan fruit. While the oil may be used on salads and as dipping for bread, owing to its delicious nutty taste, it can also be used as part of your organic skin care regimen. In fact, it has been known to be the best beauty secret for young looking, radiant skin.

The argan fruit tree lives to around 150 to 200 years. It bears fruit only when it reaches 50 years old. And it can only be found in Morocco. This is the very rare argan tree, and it is the source of the highly prized argan oil.

But before we get into its beneficial uses, make sure that you buy only the purest argan oil — without the chemicals. It has to be unadulterated, undiluted or blended with other oils and fragrances so that you get the maximum results.

Here are just some of the benefits of using argan oil:

It hydrates and softens skin

Use it as a full body moisturizer. It may be a bit expensive but it is well worth the investment because in comparison to other moisturizers, argan oil isn’t irritating and you will actually need just a few drops to hydrate and soften skin. Apply it after you get out of the shower.

It will improve facial skin tone and texture

Argan oil is a pretty good organic skin care solution for acne. Since it is non-greasy, it can soothe irritated skin and will not clog up pores. Use it as a daily morning moisturizer.

It can brighten your facial skin

Here’s a neat little trick to getting instantly brighter facial skin: Add a drop of argan oil to your foundation or tinted moisturizer, and voila! You’ll get that perfect glow.

It can moisturize lips, cracked heels, and cuticles

Talk about an all-around organic skin care regimen. Argan oil also works for your lips, cracked heels, and cuticles. A small amount will rejuvenate those dry and cracked areas.

It adds shine to your hair and tames frizzy ends

Whether it’s simply the weather or your hair is just in such a state, argan oil can be a phenomenal hair conditioner. You can apply it to damp hair as a full-on hair treatment or just use it on dry ends.

Alternately, you can use it as an overnight hair treatment, gently massaging your hair with a microfiber towel then washing your hair the next day. This treatment would also work well for dry scalp.
